The Wild Wild Wet was built less than a year ago at Escape Theme Park in Downtown East at Pasir Ris. I went there yesterday with some of my friends to have a look at the rides and attractions there and I was captivated by the beautiful water rides offered there. The area was filled with people. Looking from the queue, I saw people enjoying the slides and rides there. I felt excited to get into the park.

Finally, after a few minutes of waiting, we entered the park. We quickly ran to the toilet to change, got ready to swim and have fun! First we tried out the ride called Shiok River. Spanning 335 metres in length, the Shiok River skirts the perimeter of the park, meandering through a variety of lush landscape that left us soothed and invigorated. Then, we went on to an attraction called Ular-Lah. Being the first raft slide in South-East Asia, the Ular-Lah was an amazing ride that offered us a chance to brave the rapids. It was a very thrilling ride. Although we felt a bit dizzy after the ride, we still wanted to continue on with the other rides.

Next we went on to another attraction called the Waterworks. This was probably one of the best rides in the park. We slammed our way through wacky curves and crazy turnings with the Waterworks. It was a ride that we took again and again. This twisty ride comes in two flavours: open and covered body slides, each one with its own unique route and distinctive angles. With so many variables to play with, the Waterworks was perfect for friendly races to see who can hit the landing pool first. In the end, I won the race.

After taking these few rides, we felt a bit tired by the thrills in the attraction. We went to get changed before going on to get ourselves some food to eat.

Truly, this day was one of the most wonderful and memorable experiences that I’ve ever had. The trip was indeed worth the money, worth the time! This trip will never be erased in my memory!
